About Lutong Bahay Restaurant
Lutong Bahay Restaurant is a filipino restaurant in Los Angeles, California. It is listed at 3756 W Ave 40, Los Angeles, CA 90065, which places it among the local businesses of Los Angeles that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as grocery store, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Los Angeles, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 amโ7:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Lutong Bahay Restaurant at (323) 255-7827; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I used to like this fast food place. Their food are now very oily and not fresh for a Saturday. The Laing dish looked dark and dry. The beef tapa is too sweet and mushy, The kambing kilawen was very tough to eat. Will not come buy the food here anymore.

Iโm a regular customer at Lutong Bahay and I usually enjoy both the food and the experience, which is why this was disappointing. Unfortunately, my recent interactions with ANNE at the cashier were not pleasant. On one visit, I politely asked her to make sure one of the dishes with sauce was placed flat in the bag to avoid spilling. She responded without any courtesy or friendliness, and her tone came across as irritated. On same night, there was confusion with the payment terminal. I always pay by credit card, but the machine suddenly asked for a PIN. I calmly mentioned that the debit option might have been selected by mistake, since I saw her press something on the screen. Instead of clarifying or acknowledging the issue, she became defensive and implied that she pressed it because I was โabout to leave,โ which felt inappropriate and uncomfortable โ as if I wouldnโt pay. Everyone can make small mistakes, and that wasnโt the issue. The problem was the attitude and lack of basic courtesy. Front-line staff, especially at the cashier, represent the business, and customer interactions matter. I hope management addresses this, because Lutong Bahay is a place I genuinely like and wo

This was my favorite go to place for Filipino food. Iโm not sure if it was because the worker was new or if they changed their portions but they used to fill up the inside with the meat and now itโs only half??? Food is still good but Iโll probably go somewhere else for the price now.

The place is clean and well organized, making it easy to find everything. The fresh fish and meat section could use some improvement. The viands are very tasty, they really feel like home-cooked meals. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
